Robert L. Horton a Seattle native, has worked as a professional artist over twenty-five years. He work in various mediums; such as, pen and ink, watercolors, acrylics, airbrush, in addition to glassblowing.

He received his AA&S degree in Advertising Art from Seattle Central Community College. He also taken art courses in life drawing, glassblowing, and done theater set designer as a community volunteer.

Years ago, Robert created an displayed a prominent art exhibit called ‘Souls of Sweetness’-scenes of Haiti, at Gallery 110 in downtown Seattle. The show featured a vivid displays of the beautiful country of Haiti and its people.

Recently, he has assembled a powerful art exhibit called “American History X, that celebrates the rich contributions of African Americans to the American history. He featured his works in numerous art galleries, art exhibits throughout Seattle and Northwest territories over the past 20 years.

Onyx Fine Arts Exhibits, the Bellevue Arts Festival, Edmonds Arts Festival are just a few art exhibits Robert has shown his works. Gallery representation at the Blinky & DuPrey Gallery in Portland, Ore; Artist Gallery of Seattle, Seattle, WA, currently at the Gallery 110 of Seattle over the past five years.

He has also won numerous awards throughout his career; including, 2015 “Second Place” at the Onyx Fine Arts 11 Annual Art Exhibit, and 2008 “Best of Show” Art Merchant International Art Expo, Issaquah, WA respectfully. During his artistic career, Robert been involved with several community base projects, including a 31’ x 17’ mural for the Seattle Rainier Beach Library, called ‘UnMask Your Mind!’ The mural featured several ceremonial masks from ethnic groups living in South Seattle area. Designed several posters for local youth group programs, and even assist as a set designer for Rainier Valley Youth Theater.

Robert also demonstrated support for World outreach programs; such as, Haitian Earthquake Relief in 2011 and Help Brazil in Rio de Janeiro in 2013. He developed a powerful new Seattle Arts group called ‘Onyx Fine Arts Collective.’ As a co-founder, Robert assist the non-profit agency promoting the annual art event celebrating Northwest African American & African decent artist to the community.
