This hand-carved teak wood bench originates from the Island of Madura, off the coast of Northeastern Java. It features a long slender form with angular legs. A wonderful sculptural object with wood textures and shades. The seat was carved from a single block of teak wood. The seat has a slight curve at one side. This bench dates to the mid 20th Century. The mix of curved and straight lines make for a very elegant bench. A wonderful addition to any space.
